Empowering You to Live the Life You Want
Pacific Marriage & Family Therapy Network
FEES & PAYMENTS
Pacific MFT Network offers a diverse range of therapeutic services tailored to meet the needs of our clients. Our fees vary based on the type of service, the duration of the session, and the experience level of our clinicians. We pride ourselves on the extensive expertise and diversity of our team, ensuring that we can cater to a wide array of clients.
As Out-of-Network providers, we understand the complexities of insurance claims. To alleviate this burden, we offer concierge billing services to handle the intricacies of filing your claims, allowing you to focus on your care rather than paperwork.
If PPO insurance is not an option for you, we also provide flexible out-of-pocket payment arrangements.

Here's a breakdown of what this means:
-
Out-of-Network Providers: Pacific MFT Network and its therapists do not participate directly with any insurance networks. This means they are not listed as preferred providers with any insurance companies.
-
Concierge Billing Service: They offer a specialized billing service that handles all the paperwork and filing associated with out-of-network PPO insurance claims. This service is designed to simplify the insurance process for clients.
-
Claim Filing: Instead of clients having to manage and submit claims themselves, Pacific MFT Network’s billing team takes care of filing the insurance claims directly with the insurance company on the client's behalf.
-
Payment Process: Clients are required to pay the full fee for services at the time of the appointment. After payment, the concierge billing service files the insurance claim. The insurance company then reimburses the client directly for the portion of the fee that is covered under their plan.
-
Benefit Summary: Before starting therapy, clients receive a summary of their PPO plan's mental health benefits. This summary helps clients understand what their insurance may cover, but there is no obligation to proceed with therapy if they choose not to.
-
Experience with PPO Plans: The network has experience working with various PPO insurance plans, including Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, HealthNet, United Healthcare, Cigna, and others.
In summary, Pacific MFT Network offers a streamlined process for handling out-of-network insurance claims, making it easier for clients to receive reimbursement from their insurance companies without having to deal with the complexities of filing claims themselves.
Out-of-Network PPO Insurance Process
Pacific MFT Network is dedicated to delivering high-quality treatment and exceptional service to all our clients. As part of our commitment, we offer concierge billing services to help you utilize your PPO insurance plans for covering the cost of therapy.
Please note that Pacific MFT Network is an out-of-network provider for all insurance plans. We are not currently listed as a preferred provider or in-network with any insurance panels.
Clients are responsible for paying the full fee for each session at the time of service. We will then handle the insurance claim process to expedite your reimbursement from your PPO insurance plan.
Using insurance with an out-of-network provider can sometimes be confusing. It’s important to understand that we cannot guarantee specific benefits or coverage details. To get accurate and comprehensive information about your insurance benefits, you should contact your insurance provider directly. Please call the customer service number on the back of your insurance ID card for assistance.
When we review your benefit coverage, we can only provide an estimate of what you might expect; there is no guarantee of coverage or payment. The insurance company does not verify the "allowed amount" in advance, which impacts your deductible and per-session fee. The allowed amount will only be determined after the first claim is submitted and processed. Once we have this information, we can provide a clearer picture of what your insurance will cover and your out-of-pocket costs.
Our service fees range from $200 to $450 per session, depending on the therapist you select. As an out-of-network provider, most insurance plans will cover a portion of this fee.
Typically, each insurance plan has a calendar year deductible and provides co-insurance benefits once the deductible is met. You will be responsible for paying the full session fee at the time of service. After meeting your deductible, your insurance company will reimburse you directly for the portion of the fee they cover.
The insurance company will only credit the plan’s allowed amount toward your deductible, even though you pay the full session fee. The exact allowed amount for your plan is initially unknown. Once the first claim is processed, we will determine this amount and how many full-fee sessions are needed to meet your deductible.
Please note that deductibles usually reset each January. If you continue with the same plan, you will need to meet the deductible again each year before the insurance company covers the co-insurance portion of the allowed amount.
If you have any questions or want to discuss fees and insurance further, please feel free to contact our office.
Sliding Scale Fees
Sliding scale fees are another word for discounted rates. In private practice sliding scale fees are handled very different than community mental health centers. On a limited basis, sliding scale fees are available to our clients based on need and circumstances. You can discuss sliding scale fees with your therapist during the initial consultation. Not all therapists offer a sliding scale fee and typically do not slide for more than $50 from their full fee. Sliding scale fees are a benefit for clients that can commit to weekly sessions and long term work. Sliding scale fees are typically re-evaluated every 6 months.
